Associated Term: SUMMER 2016
Levels: UNDERGRADUATE OFF CAMPUS Campus THEORY Schedule Type DISTANCE LEARNING Instructional Method Learning Objectives: This is a “self-paced, blended course”. All content is delivered online, however, you must take two exams in person at a CNM Assessment Center on campus. You may take the exams at anytime (during the Assessment Center hours) up to the deadline for each exam. For this course, “self-paced” means you may go faster than the schedule outlined in the syllabus – however, you may not fall behind the schedule. This is a summer course and therefore, the material normally covered in a 15-week semester will be covered in the 12-week summer term. Many students are taken by surprise at how much more difficult College Algebra is than an Intermediate Algebra (Math 1310) course. Make sure you have plenty of time to devote to the course. Required Materials: We will use ALEKS for this course (see the Textbook link). Technical Requirements: This course becomes available on the first day of classes - May 16. To get started, you will log into Blackboard (aka CNM Learn), click on this course in your list of classes, then click on Get Started. That's it. Follow the instructions from there.
