Learning Objectives: To get started in this course, you will log into CNM Learn on the first day of classes, find and click this class in your list of current classes and then click on "Start Here". The Learning Objectives will be provided in the syllabus available on the first day of classes.
Required Materials: This course only requires paid access to MyMathLab. To gain this access you can purchase an access code from any CNM bookstore or you can purchase access directly from the publisher when you complete your registration in MyMathLab once the course begins. If you cannot purchase this access code before the semester begins, you are still expected to start your homework on time, on the first day of the semester. To facilitate this, the publisher will offer each student 14 days of free access to MyMathLab using a financial aid access code that is provided during the account set-up process in MyMathLab.
Technical Requirements: This Math 1410 course is classified as BLENDED, which means that the course is offered primarily online but an instructor can require a student to come to campus for up to 50% of the time. In my course, all homework and progress assessments are done online. In other words, this class does not meet on campus at any time during the semester. However, students are required to take two tests at a testing center on one of CNM campuses...a unit exam and the final exam. These two tests will each comprise 25% of the course grade for a total of 50% of your overall grade. The rest of the grade will be based on homework taken online, at home.
