Presents the history of addictive disorder identification
and service provision for substance abuse, addiction,
prevention, and treatment services. Topics will include
current and emerging trends in service delivery and
service integration, development of national governing
bodies and ethical standards, development of the
profession, and the socio-political forces affecting the
development, delivery and accessibility of substance
abuse services.
